UK Privacy, Public Records & Removal Policy
1. How our UK listings are compiled
Our UK directory (doineedaweddingphotographer.com/uk) is compiled from publicly available records and business information — including publicly listed business names, locations, contact details, and public business profiles. A listing is not an endorsement, certification, accreditation, or licence. Wedding photography is an unregulated profession in the United Kingdom; there is no licensing board, and we make no representation about any listed business.
2. Lawful basis
Where a listing contains information relating to an identifiable individual (for example, a sole trader operating under their own name), we process that information on the basis of our legitimate interests in operating a public business directory, in line with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. We only publish information that is already in the public domain in a business context.
3. Requesting an update or removal
If you are the owner of a listed business (or the individual named in a listing) and would like your listing corrected, updated, or removed, email terry@doineedapro.com from the business email address (or otherwise identifying yourself), including the listing name and its doineedaweddingphotographer.com/uk URL. We action verified removal requests promptly, and typically within 30 days.
4. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address above. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
5. Governing law
This UK policy and any dispute arising from the UK directory are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
